In person the Box Office also accepts cash and personal checks.<\/p>\n<p>A service fee is charged per ticket and varies according to event type.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning January 1, 2015, in accordance with N.C. General Statute \u00a7 105-164.4(a)(10)\u2014the Omnibus Tax Act\u2014the Museum is required to charge sales tax on most ticket purchases and on the non-tax-deductible portion of any membership. The tax applied will consist of current state sales tax of 4.75% and current 2% Wake county tax. As always, please consult your tax advisor regarding tax deduction issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Member Tickets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Members are eligible for free or discounted tickets to most Museum events. The level of membership determines the number of free or discounted tickets available to each member.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accessibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Patrons requiring accessible seating for events in the amphitheater and wishing to purchase tickets online should buy general admission tickets, including any necessary companion tickets. For paid special exhibitions, children 6 and under are admitted free with an adult.
