On July 10, “MasterChef Australia” is kicking off “California Week,” a six-episode trip through the Golden State, showcasing the state’s diversity of culinary and lifestyle experiences.

In partnership with Qantas, Australia’s national air carrier, this is the largest international broadcast integration ever undertaken by Visit California, reaching an estimated 7.7 million viewers through broadcast exposure alone.

The award-winning cooking reality show and the most-watched television series in Australia is dedicating an entire week of its eighth season to California destinations including: San Francisco, Napa, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and San Diego.

Viewers will watch as the six finalists vie for the title of MasterChef while being exposed to beautiful locations including the Santa Monica Pier, Coronado Island, San Francisco and Australian Celebrity Chef Curtis Stone’s Maude Restaurant in Beverly Hills, with guest appearances from some of California’s own celebrity chefs.

Additionally, Visit California secured partnerships across media, consumer and trade channels to extend the reach. A four-week campaign in partnership with Woman’s Day, Australia’s leading weekly magazine and the “MasterChef” official magazine media partner, will complement the six episodes and deliver an additional estimated 2.5 million impressions.

The Woman’s Day editorial team will publish feature content, covering each of the “MasterChef” California locations, in four print editions and across the magazine’s owned media channels. Editorial content will be supported by a web-based consumer game for users to learn about the California destinations and experiences for a chance to win the “Ultimate Foodie Adventure” trip to the state.

To activate travel trade audiences, a cooperative partnership with Escape Travel Coop will highlight California culinary experiences across retail stores, social channels and digital platforms, offering travel packages inspired by the show.
