The 19th Annual Price Chopper Capital Holiday Lights in the Park is open from November 27, 2015 – January 2, 2016 and welcomes one and all to “Christmas in Albany”, commemorating the 27th Anniversary of the youth programs of Albany PAL.

The 2015 edition of the Price Chopper Capital Holiday Lights is an all-new, drive-through spectacular with more than 125 displays and scenes in Albany’s Washington Park.

Presented by Mayor Kathy Sheehan, the people of the City of Albany and Albany PAL, this years show depicts holiday scenes of yesteryear and many new & exciting lighting displays.

At the end of your drive through the Lights, the Washington Park Lake House comes alive. Join your favorite reindeer and friends as they bring fun and mystery to the holiday season. The Lake House is filled with crafts and refreshments. Santa will be there through Dec. 23 to hear the holiday wishes of the little ones.

Admission prices are $15.00 per car, $25.00 for 10-18 passenger vehicle, $50.00 for vehicles containing 19-28 passengers, $75.00 for school busses and $100.00 for commercial coaches, with all proceeds benefiting the youth programming of Albany PAL.

The best part of the 19th Annual Price Chopper Capital Holiday Lights in the Park is that all proceeds benefit the juvenile crime prevention programs of the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL)!

KATE DAVIS | 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

The music of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Kate Davis has been turning heads in New York’s music scene since 2012.

KEITH PRAY’S SOUL JAZZ REVIVAL | 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Saxophonist and composer Keith Pray is a native of upstate New York who returned to the Capital Region in 2006 after a lengthy tenure in New York City.

THE JOEY THOMAS BIG BAND | 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

On July 2, 1976, the bands of Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, and Maynard Ferguson performed at the Saratoga Jazz Festival.

LARRY MOSES’ LATIN JAZZ EXPRESS | 1:00 -2:00 p.m.

A seven-piece Hudson Valley band dedicated to keeping the sounds and spirit of this music alive, Larry Moses’ Latin Jazz Express is what happens when the sophisticated sounds of jazz mix it up with the red-hot Latin rhythms of Cuba, Puerto Rico and the streets of NYC.

2015 Schedule

The week’s festivals begin on Thursday, June 4 with the annual Kick-Off BBQ at the Pride Center  located at 332 Hudson Ave, Albany, NY.

The celebration continues with daily events. The full schedule from last year is below and will be updated as the event nears.

On the 13th, The parade will step off from Washington Park at 12:00 PM circling around the block and back into the park.

The Festival will begin immediately after the parade, and will include musical performances and vendors.
